SOCIAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Save the Citarum is a campaign focused on ending fast fashion and cleaning the river for the benefit of the people who live on or near the Citarum River. The Citarum River is today the most polluted river in the world due to the amount of textile factories that operate at its basin. Chemical waste such as lead, mercury, arsenic, etc are dumped into the river by the the factories, polluting 27 million people’s drinking water. This leads to disease and poverty for those who rely on the river. One of the prominent companies that uses these textile factories is the brand with three stripes.
