Kapabel Packaging
For this project, the goal was to design a packaging suite for anything we wanted. I came up with the company “Kapabel” as the subject of my packaging suite. Derived from the word capable in Swedish (kapabel), this hypothetical company creates aesthetically please tools for the casual, minimalist workman. The company prides itself on empowering people that they are capable of whatever the job at hand is, no handyman required.
Kapabel tools is about empowering people that they are capable of doing a job themselves. They create high quality tools without sacrificing style and aesthetic
In this project, we were asked to create the boxes themselves as well, my packaging suite is a cardboard box with a slidable paper sleeve around it.
If I were to expand this project further I would include a zipped tool tote bag along with the packages to infer the goal is to create a whole kapabel tool kit.
Below you can see some inspiration and initial sketches I had during the process. Such as the deep blue color and handdrawn elements I have present in my design.
